The New Flex HRM App Is Here – Easier Everyday Admin, Right From Your Mobile

From cumbersome to completed in seconds. Say hello to the new Flex HRM app - rebuilt from the ground up with a focus on simplicity, speed, and AI as a natural part of the user experience.

Punch in and out no matter where you are. Record absences instantly when something happens. Apply for vacation on the way between two meetings. Take a photo of the receipt for the expense immediately after purchase. Or ask the question "what is my schedule" and get the answer served in no time.

The new app is part of the overall Flex HRM solution and is built for an everyday life where things should be solved quickly and smoothly right in the moment.

- This is something we have been working towards for several years. During that time, both the technology and the expectations of a modern user experience have changed a lot, so we've had to rethink both once and twice along the way. Now it feels incredibly fun to finally be able to realize something that both we and our users have been looking forward to for so long, says Linda Brännstedt, Product Line Manager at Flex Applications.

Smooth Management of Time, Absence and Expenses

In the first version of the new app, the focus is on removing the friction in the small but important tasks that need to be done during the working day, such as clocking in and out, registering absences and applying for leave, as well as managing receipts, expenses and travel bills.

User feedback has been an important compass in the development work, says Linda. Through interviews and surveys, the team has gathered valuable input that has shaped the app.

- We have placed great emphasis on starting at the right end and prioritizing what creates the most benefit in everyday life. Then we will gradually add more functions.

The AI Agent Helps You Get the Job Done

One of the great new features of the new Flex HRM app is the built-in AI agent that helps you complete tasks without having to click through menus. Instead, you tell the agent what you want to get done by typing it in the chat window or using voice control.

For example, if you say that you want to take time off work or take a leave of absence, the agent can help interpret your request, find the right date and suggest the right reason for absence.

- Unlike a simple AI assistant, the agent can help solve tasks in the system. However, it never does anything without your approval. Before an action is taken, you are always given the opportunity to confirm the tasks so that you have full control at every step, explains Linda.

For the development team at Flex, the launch is the start of a new chapter where HRM tools start to feel as smart, fast, and natural to use as the services we've become accustomed to in our personal lives.

- Because we have built the app on a completely new technical platform, we have a completely different pace of development than has been possible before. Now we look forward to continuing to add solutions that save time and simplify everyday life even more for our users, concludes Linda.

The new Flex HRM app is designed to make everyday admin easier, faster and more accessible directly on the mobile.

Currently, you can, among other things:

• clock in and out
• register absences, such as sick leave or maternity leave
• apply for holidays and other leave
• take photos of receipts and create expenses
• keep track of your schedule
• update you on your balances, such as flex hours, vacation days, comp and OB
• let the AI agent Flexie perform tasks for you - with your approval at every step.

More features will be added gradually.

The new app, called Flex HRM, is now available to all our customers and can be downloaded wherever apps are available, in the App Store and Google Play. You'll find the key features you recognize from our existing HRM Mobile app, but now in an even smarter way.

The app will run in parallel with HRM Mobile for a transitional period, so you and your colleagues can start exploring it at your own pace. In the near future, the new app will then completely replace HRM Mobile.
