“A boost for the entire user experience”—here's how the new Flex HRM app has been received

Fewer clicks, less friction, and smart AI that gets the job done. A few months ago, the new Flex HRM app was launched—built from the ground up to simplify day-to-day admin tasks. How has the response been? What’s been most appreciated? And what’s next for the app? Linda Brännstedt, Product Line Manager, shares more.
Clock in. Clock out. Report sick leave. Request vacation time. Or get reimbursed for meeting snacks and train tickets. These are exactly the kinds of day-to-day administrative tasks the Flex HRM app is designed to handle—quickly, easily, and right on the spot. And with the AI agent Flexie, the convenience takes it one step further—just say what you need, and it’s done.

But how has this vision been received by the roughly 400 companies using the app today? According to Linda Brännstedt, it’s above all the simplicity that keeps users coming back.

– The reception has been very positive. Customers appreciate the modern interface and how easy it is to find what they need and navigate. That’s exactly the feeling we wanted to create—a smoother workflow throughout the workday.

The AI agent Flexie is getting positive feedback

This simplicity is also evident in how the app is used, where the AI agent Flexie has quickly become a valued part of the overall experience.

“The response to Flexie has been really great. Many people are expressing a sense of ‘finally!’ and feel that we’ve taken a huge step forward, both visually and functionally. It’s especially nice to hear that the app is even described as fun to use,” says Linda.

Now that the foundation is in place, the app is gradually expanding with more features.

– Not all the features from the previous app are available yet, and we know that many people want to be able to do more right now. We fully understand that, of course. At the same time, we’re committed to building it in the right order—step by step and with a clear direction—but also with room to adjust priorities along the way.

Full visibility into pay stubs and time reports—here’s what’s coming next

So what’s coming next in the app?

– Right now, we’re working on further developing the functionality for time reporting and expense tracking, based directly on the feedback we’ve received from users. We’re also working on the ability to view your pay stubs directly in the app, which we know is highly anticipated.

For Linda and her team, the launch is the starting point rather than the finish line.

– It’s only when the app is used in everyday life that we can really pinpoint what works well, what could be improved, and what tasks and problems customers most want to be able to solve. My message to you is therefore: keep using the app, keep an eye out for new features as they’re released, and—last but not least—keep sharing your thoughts and requests with us. You’re a crucial part of how it will evolve going forward.

Making the switch from the old app—here’s what to keep in mind

For those of you currently using our older version, HRM Mobile, there’s still plenty of time to plan your transition to the new app.

“Start with the user groups whose needs are already met by the new app, such as employees who primarily log their deviations and/or manage their expenses in the app,” Linda advises.

Good to know:

  • The new app, called Flex HRM, is available to all our customers and can be downloaded from app stores—the App Store and Google Play. A prerequisite is that your company uses Flex HRM in the Microsoft Azure public cloud.
  • The previous app, HRM Mobile, will be completely replaced by the new app on December 31, 2026.
  • During a transition period, both apps can be used simultaneously.
  • On this site, you can easily see which features are currently available and what’s coming soon.
