From November 2026, banks and payment systems will introduce new requirements for how address details must be provided in payroll payments. We've now updated Flex HRM Payroll so you can feel confident — without having to do anything yourself.
Background to the change
Banks worldwide are introducing new, common requirements for structured address details in payment files. This means that details such as city and country must be provided in clearly defined fields, rather than as free text. The requirement applies to all banks and now also covers domestic Swedish payments — not just international payments as before.
If address details are not structured according to the new requirements, payments risk being delayed or rejected by the bank.
What this means for you
Flex HRM already supports adding structured address details today, but so far only for international payments. We are now extending this so that address details are added automatically for all payment types and all banks — both for you as the employer and for your employees.
You don't need to take any action. The update happens automatically in the background, and you can continue managing your payroll run exactly as before.
Here's how the system handles the address details:
- For you as the employer, Sweden is always specified as the country, and the city is retrieved from the company's postal city.
- For your employees, the city is retrieved from the employee's postal city. If the country is missing from the address details, Sweden is used as the country automatically. If a country is specified but doesn't match the official country register, the country field is sent empty rather than incorrect.
Thanks to this, you can feel confident that your payroll payments meet the new requirements — without any extra work on your part.
