Talking to Flexie should feel smooth and natural. That is why we are simplifying the confirmation window that appears when Flexie suggests an action – whether you are using the mobile app or the web.
What is changing?
Today, the confirmation window contains editable fields such as text fields, date pickers, and drop-down menus. This means you can make changes both in the window and in the conversation, which creates an unclear experience.
In the upcoming update, all fields in the confirmation window will become read-only. The window displays Flexie's suggestion in a clear summary, and you then choose to approve or reject with the tap of a button.
How does it work in practice?
When Flexie suggests an action – for example, to register an expense or submit an application for absence – the confirmation window appears as usual. The difference is that the fields can no longer be edited directly in the window. Instead, you have three ways forward:
- Approve: You tap Approve and Flexie confirms in the chat that the action has been completed.
- Reject: You tap Reject and the matter is closed. Nothing is saved.
- Change via the chat: If something is not right, you simply write what you want to change in the conversation, for example "Change category to office supplies". Flexie updates the suggestion and displays a new confirmation window with the new values. You can make as many changes as you like before you approve.
Why are we making this change?
By letting the conversation be the only channel for changes, the interaction with Flexie becomes more consistent and easier to understand. You no longer need to wonder whether to make changes in the window or in the chat – the answer is always the chat. This applies to all functions that Flexie can perform, in both the mobile app and the web.
The appearance and placement of the confirmation window remain unchanged – it is the same window you are used to, but with a clearer role as a pure decision point.
