It will soon be time for this year's wage statistics to Svenskt Näringsliv. If you belong to Försäkringsbranschens Arbetsgivareorganisation (FAO) and submit statistics according to the FAO variant (MO48), Svenskt Näringsliv has made some changes ahead of this autumn's collection. Flex HRM already supports the changes, so you can focus on getting your data right from the start.

New job status for members of the management team

Svenskt Näringsliv has introduced a new job status: 6 – Management team. It is used for employees who are part of the company's management team.
In Flex HRM, you can now select the new job status in the Job status field in the employee register. The selectable job statuses follow Svenskt Näringsliv's new instructions, so you can classify each employee correctly directly in the register.

NYK replaces the VY family

As of the 2026 collection, the VY family is discontinued. It is replaced by Näringslivets yrkesklassifikation (NYK), which describes occupational roles in more detail. The purpose is to simplify reporting going forward and to strengthen the quality of the wage statistics.
At the same time, the VY code is becoming simpler. It now only needs to contain FAO's job evaluation, a digit between 1 and 8, which corresponds to the last digit of the previous four-digit VY code. If you already have four-digit codes registered, you can continue to use them. Svenskt Näringsliv will then only use the last digit in the statistics.
For you as an employer, this means that the company's occupational roles need to be coded according to the NYK codes that apply in the insurance industry.

Prepare for the statistics submission

The changes apply to the 2026 statistics submission, which covers the month of September. We recommend that you review your employees now and check:

  • NYK codes – code the company's occupational roles according to the NYK codes that apply in the insurance industry.
  • VY codes – check that the job evaluation is correct for each employee.
  • Job status – make sure that employees who are part of the management team have job status 6 – Management team.

The right data from the start

With up-to-date information in the employee register, your statistics submission will be smoother, and you avoid having to correct data afterwards. The result is wage statistics that accurately reflect your organization and give you and the industry a reliable basis for comparing salaries.
