Do you use Flex HRM with a connection to NAV for managing follow-up plans? On January 16, a new API will be introduced that simplifies the process and requires a one-time action from you as an administrator.

To meet the new technical requirements from NAV, the current Altinn 2 is being replaced by the more modern Altinn 3. This update will be rolled out in the system during the night of Friday, January 16, resulting in smoother handling but also some key changes to be aware of.

What is changing in Flex HRM?

Simplified Follow-up Plan form

NAV has chosen to simplify the follow-up plan by reducing the number of questions. A notable change is that the section for action periods is being removed entirely. This is a mandatory update from NAV to make the process more efficient.

Updated interface in absence follow-up

We are also streamlining the view for absence follow-up. Going forward, you will only see one primary button: ”Opprett/Rediger oppfølgingsplan”. Other options are conveniently gathered inside the popup window.

Current drafts

Do you have ongoing follow-up plans in the old format? You can still open these drafts, but after January 16, these can no longer be submitted.

Critical steps for Administrators

As the update involves a new type of authentication, an administrator must perform the following steps to ensure the connection remains active:

  • Delegate access in Altinn: Log in to Altinn and delegate access to Flex Applications International for the service ”Innsending av oppfølgingsplaner til NAV via leverandør”. This must be done for all registration numbers listed under Program links in Flex HRM. See how to proceed in this instruction (in Swedish).

  • Verification of Registration Numbers: All registration numbers under Program links will now be verified automatically. If you need to add or change a number in the future, please contact Flex support as these require manual verification from our side.

Existing settings remain

Please note that you should not remove current business certificates or business users. These are still required for the system to retrieve sick leaves (sykmelding) during a transition period. Development of the new API for retrieving sick leaves is expected to start in the spring of 2026, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
