You’re adding a new employee in Denmark. Until now, you’ve had to collect registration numbers and account numbers and keep them up to date in the personnel registry. Now, instead, you can specify that the salary should be paid to the employee’s NemKonto, eliminating the need to handle bank information altogether.

What is NemKonto?

Every individual and business in Denmark has a NemKonto. It’s the account that the employee has personally chosen at their bank as their primary account, and it’s where government payments—and usually their salary as well—are deposited. The account is linked to the employee’s CPR number, the Danish personal identification number.

Select NemKonto on the Pay tab

In the employee directory, on the Payroll tab, you’ll find “ Payment of salary to” There, under Payroll Payment, specify whether the salary should be paid to a bank account or a NemKonto. This option is located in the same place as the Danish bank details.

If you want to update multiple employees at once, you can use the import and export features in the employee registry, where the fields “Danish Payroll Payment,” “Danish Registration Number,” and “Danish Account Number” are now available.

This feature applies to companies with Denmark as their base country.

Less paperwork and the right account every time

With NemKonto, you no longer need to manually collect, enter, and update bank details. If an employee changes banks or accounts, you don’t need to do anything, since payroll is always deposited into the account the employee has selected as their NemKonto.

This feature is already available in Flex HRM.
