Dealing with negative payroll has long been a manual task for payroll professionals. When an employee's deductions exceed their salary, it requires both careful monitoring and manual adjustments to ensure that the debt is correct and deducted at the next possible opportunity. But now everyday life will be much smoother.
We are now launching a long-awaited feature for automatic payroll debt management. This means that the system itself detects if a gross or net salary is less than SEK 0. Instead of you having to keep track of the debt manually, Flex HRM settles the amount automatically.
This makes your life easier:
- No more negative payments: The system ensures that the salary never falls below zero by automatically creating a settlement line for the debt incurred.
- Automatic carry-over: The debt is automatically carried over to the next payroll run. The system makes the deduction for you as soon as there is room in the payroll.
- SmartDetect keeps track for you: If you use the SmartDetect monitoring function, you will now receive instant information about which employees have a new debt this month, as well as for which employees a previous debt has been settled.
- Clear debt overview via accumulators: The employee's total debt (both gross and net) is stored in an accumulator. This allows you to easily display the remaining debt as a balance directly on the payslip.
- Smart display for the employee: To keep the payslip clean and clear, you can choose to display the balance of the debt only when there is actually a value to settle.
- Full control and traceability: You can easily see which rows have been created by the system and check the current liability in the employee register or payroll calculation at any time.
By letting Flex HRM take care of the logic of gross and net liabilities, the risk of errors is reduced, while giving you more time for non-administrative tasks.
