An employee registers an allowance of one hour, but according to the agreement, the allowance must always cover at least two hours. With the new option "Time row and allowance row" under "Time interval", you can let an event handle each manually entered allowance row separately, for example to round up automatically.
A new option under Time interval
Events now include the option "Time row and allowance row" under "Time interval". With this option, the event runs for each time row and for each manually entered allowance row.
This is how the options differ:
- Day, week, month and period include manually entered allowances during the current period.
- Time row runs for each time row and does not include allowances.
- Time row and allowance row runs for each time row and for each manually entered allowance row.
Handle each allowance separately
Since the event runs row by row, you can build logic that applies to each individual allowance, rather than the total over a period. With formulas in the event, you can adjust the allowance row in the way that suits your rules.
One example is rounding. If an employee registers an allowance of less than two hours, the event can automatically round it up to two hours. The employee registers as usual, and the allowance is correct without anyone having to adjust it manually.
