You can now register your time manually straight away when you clock in or out outside a permitted clocking location

In our new app, you can now register your time manually straight away when you clock in or out outside a permitted clocking location. Instead of having to go to the time report and enter the time yourself, you are asked the moment you clock in or out. One tap, and your time is registered.

This is also handy if your phone temporarily cannot get a sufficiently accurate GPS position. You can still register your time straight away, without having to wait or do it later in the time report.

One tap – and the time is registered

When you clock in or out while outside a permitted clocking location, the box "You are outside the clocking zone" is displayed. Below the heading is the question "Do you want to register your time manually instead?"

You have two options:

  • If you tap Register, followed by the current time, for example "Register 12:48", the time is registered directly in your time report.
  • If you tap Cancel, nothing is registered.

So you don't need to leave the clocking screen, open the time report and enter the time yourself. The time is recorded correctly straight away.

Applies both when you clock in and when you clock out

The question is displayed whether you are clocking in or clocking out. Whether you start your day at a customer's site or finish it on your way home, you can register the time in the same simple way.

For those of you who are allowed to register times manually

The question is only displayed if you have the authorisation to enter times manually in your time report. If you do not have that authorisation, you will see the same message as before, stating that you are not in a correct location for clocking.

Clear how the time was registered

A time you register via the question is shown as manually entered in the time report, just as if you had entered the time manually there. This means it is always clear how the time was recorded.

For administrators

There are no new settings to configure. The feature is based on the permitted clocking locations you have already set up, which are checked via GPS, and on the authorisation to enter times manually in the time report.

Less to remember, the right time from the start

With the question right there when you clock in or out, you register the time at the very moment you want to clock in or out – instead of having to remember to enter it later. This gives you a time report that is correct from the start, and fewer times that need to be completed afterwards.

The feature is available in our new app today. The next time you clock in or out outside a permitted clocking location, look out for the question "Do you want to register your time manually instead?"
